No longer an issue – the openSUSE kdepimruntime patch openSUSE-2019-1696 to
v18.12.3 on 8th July seems to have fixed this issue.
“Add Qt5NetworkAuth and qca-qt5 BuildRequires for OAuth2 support for the EWS
resource.”

No idea as to why this fixed the issue but, it did – maybe the rebuild helped …
