BTW: Also during the past days I began getting popups asking if I trusted some
certificate ultimately; I think it was Comodo? I should have investigated it,
as I have heard of problems with certificate issuers, but was busy, so I
probably just clicked yes or cancel :(

No idea what-so-ever if it's relevant, but you never no ;) I do usually sign
messages.
