Can confirm this again on Opensuse Leap 42.3 with 
- Kmail/Kaddressbook 5.2.2 
- KDE Frameworks 5.32.0
- akonadi-contact 17.04.02
- eGroupware 1.8.007

would be really nice to have a single possibility to synchronize contact groups
between several people.
