Just hit the same. I noted that the duplicated messages, were messages never
fully moved in the first place. They ghosted in the original folder, and the
ghosts were copied.

The folders this happens to also does not have working folder properties.
Nothing you change in folder properties have ANY effect and are immediately
lost
