            Bug ID: 384428
Summary: kmail Should fallback to IPv4 when IPv6 connection
                    timeouts
           Product: kmail2
           Version: 5.5.1
          Platform: Fedora RPMs
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: kdepim-bugs at kde.org
          Reporter: ferrets at live.cn
  Target Milestone: ---

My mail provider have both A and AAAA records for their mail server, however
the ipv6 address is unreachable and then kmail failed to connect to mail
server.

I've to use "auto detect" in the kmail configuration menu, and it reported
something like "server is not responding". I tried to use tcpdump to see what
had happened and I saw response from ipv4 address and no response from ipv6
address, it seems like kmail ignored the ipv4 connection.

When I disable ipv6 in network configuration to force kmail work in ipv4,
everything works fine.
