Bug ID: 377619
Summary: Crypted messages, that can't be decrypted, show no
error/warning msg. Just empty space.
Product: kmail2
Version: unspecified
Platform: Neon Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: UI
Assignee: kdepim-bugs at kde.org

Empty message body area with a strange 'smime.p7m' attachment
Kmail version 5.4.3 (KDE apps 16.12.3) [bugzilla only lists only up to 5.4.1]
I received an x509 encrypted mail.
Kleopatra was not setup yet. So my x509 key is not known. (Not used for years
;-) )
Result: All I see is an empty(!) message body area with an attachment labeled
'smime.p7m' (see attachment).
Bug: 1) Bug message body area is empty without error/warning/info msg.
2) I doubt none crpyto geeks know what smime.p7m is about.
Expected: if a encypted mail can't be decrypted, I expect at least that
error/warning/info msg, that Msg body can't be displayed.
