The progress bar

Similar to Bug 176651.

The progress bar in KMail consumes WAY too much CPU (upwards of 70% CPU for
kmail, plus another reasonable chunk for X itself), even if collapsed. When
trying to use a laptop with battery power, one has to remember to minimise the
kmail window. That also means I can't read email while kmail is checking for
new emails.

There's no reason for the bar to be this complex. A distraction widget should
have minimal CPU, GPU and power impact. Make it simple or remove it.

If this is a Breeze issue, please reassign.
