You forgot to provide the most important version: that of KMail/Kontact. If you
still experience this problem, please state all relevant versions. Please note
that Plasma has another release cycle as KDE Applications, the latter of which
should have versions like 17.04.x right now, or 16.12.x when you reported the
bug. You can also state the version used by KMail itself, which would be 5.5.x
or 5.4.x, respectively.

Also, this might be graphics stack related, i.e. caused by Qt or your graphics
driver. Did you try to upgrade/replace either of them? What did you try? Did
anything help? Has the problem vanished since your report?
