Bug ID: 382204
Summary: Certain Base64-encoded HTML messages cause composer to
hit 100% CPU when attempting to reply
Product: kmail2
Version: 4.14.10
Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: composer
Assignee: kdepim-bugs at kde.org
Reporter: kdebugs at taupehat.com
Target Milestone: ---
I'm trying to work out how to clean out confidential information from an
example message while still including one that will cause the bug. In the
meantime, the messages all come from our Veeam Backup and Replication server,
so if anyone has access to one of those it should be easy enough to reproduce
the bug. Just hit "Reply" to any message generated from same.
If anyone has advice on how to submit sufficient data to reproduce this bug
while scrubbing confidential info I'm more than willing to do so.
