Thanks for the update.

I ran into this situation again this morning (I have not restart/shutdown my
laptop for a long time). The kmail is recovered after I followed the
instruction in Comment #7 "to start 'akonadiconsole', remove the 'Local Folder'
agent from the agent's list and then click on the 'Restart' button".

I have not tried to remove the folder
`~/.local/share/akonadi_maildir_resource_0/trash/`.
