Hi! I’m on up-to-date KDE Neon and I can confirm this bug. I tried to create a
search folder looking for messages in ~10 different mail folders (from 3
different accounts), but it tells me that 2 folders are not indexed yet. After
hitting "Reindex", I have the same situation as Andrew: nothing happens (at
least the progress bar doesn’t indicate it).

What’s strange though, is that the corresponding folders report to be indexed –
if you look into folder’s properties (rightclick on folder->Folder
Properties->Service (last tab)). 

And also the messages of these folders seem to appear in the search folder.
