The backtrace looks very much like bug 364994 and duplicates. Unfortunately,
the 4.x series of kmail2 has been unsupported for more than a year now, and
364994 is closed in KDE Apps 16.08.2. I close this bug by the end of the year
unless someone reproduces it for a version >= 16.08.2, to be released Oct 3.
