            Bug ID: 360963
Summary: Select identity and "From" automatically on reply in
                    dependence of the answered mail.
           Product: kmail2
           Version: 5.1
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: kdepim-bugs at kde.org
          Reporter: 1358 at gmx-topmail.de

Kmail allows to configure identities with one mailbox address
(mailbox at some.domain) and several aliases (john at some.domain, jane at some.domain,
max at totally-different.domain). It even allows wildcards (lists-*@some.domain),
what is really great as MTAs can be configured to allow regex or catchall
aliases, too (To: john at some.domain, Delivered-To: mailbox at some.domain)

Unfortunately kmail ignores everything on replying (or forwarding) a mail.

It always selects the identity that is configured in the folder properties and
uses always the mailbox address. (I receive a mail at me at some.domain and kmail
wants to reply from mailbox at some.domain)

I can change the "From" header manually to match the "To" header of the
answered mail (from mailbox at some.domain to me at some.domain), but I think the
intention of email identities and aliases is to do that automatically.

It is even worse if there is a common inbox for different providers, as kmail
wants to answer mails to me at some.provider with other-account at different.provider
(different identity and totally different address).

The latter is a privacy issue as you can easily use the wrong email address.

Reproducible: Always

Expected Results:
Kmail should select the "From" header with the associated identity
automatically to match the "To" header of the replied mail.
