 I can confirm that I see no way to remove an attachment from a mail in KMail
5.2.1 from KDEPIM 16.04.

Yet according to the FAQ there should be one:

I don´t see this context menu entry when right clicking an attachment.

I´d like to have this feature in order to remove spam mails I attached to an
abuse report. I like to keep the abuse report for reference, but not the spam
mail. As a work-around I can just view source of mail and copy / paste only
headers.
