I can add that, at least for me still on Kubuntu 15.10 Beta2 with all upgrades
this also affects pop3 access to office365.com. Just to test I deleted the IMAP
and created a POP3 account instead. 

Same outcome - no fetching takes place

this is a "showstopper" to me - I have to have access to office365.com and I
need the mail offline, not only via webmail or similar. 

This works just fine on "pre Plasma5 KMail"
