This *might* be the same thing happening for me.  When I move messages or
folders, it appears to "hang."  Then it crashes with a segmentation fault that
leaves me unable to get a stack trace.

latest kmail, plasma 5.3, kubuntu 15.04 intel 64 bit

Behavior is consistent and repeatable.  I can keep kmail up a bit longer with
baby-sized message handling.
