--- Comment #10 from Phil thane <phil at pthane.co.uk> ---
Just installed Kubuntu 15.04 using Plasma on a different machine. Fresh
install, not upgrade. KDE 4.14.6 and I have exactly the same issue.

RECAP:

I have a mailing list called LCC&T.
I open a new message and start typing 'lcc...' the autocomplete correctly
identifies the group name.
I click and LCC&T is inserted in the To (or CC or BCC) field.
Save as draft and then reopen it.
To field now displays LCC&T@[name of computer]
Needless to say it won't send.
ALTERNATIVELY
I open Address book and search for the group
Right click and choose 'Send an Email'
The To: field is correctly populated.
However it is bad practice to use To: for mailing lists some contacts wish to
remain hidden from others, there is no easy way to use this technique to put
the list in BCC, I have to edit each name in the email header.

Can't believe no-one else has found this.
