Kmail 4.14.7 on Gentoo and Chakra.
On the first run of kmail no folder can be selected.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create new user, login to KDE, run kmail
2. Fill in new account wizard
3. Try changing folders in kmail

Actual Results:  
Kmail always shows the welcome screen. Only after a kmail restart can the
folder contents be seen.

Expected Results:  
Show folder contents
