How does one do that, as a matter of interest?

Actually, the last time I tried to create a top-level folder 
with KMail on my Fedora-21 laptop I was able to. 
That was a few weeks ago,
with dovecot running on a Centos-7 server

Before CentOS-7 came out I was able to do this on the server,
with KMail, but KMail does not seem to run under CentOS-7.
It would be useful to know how to do it with Akonadi.
