first thank you for reply,...

second, if i may ask, which launchpad PPA i should add to get 4.14.10 (or
higher) i use trusty LTS, and with addition of kubuntu-ppa backports - which
provides packages 4.14.2 not higher.  I googled but couldnt find any - at least
for akonadi notes. If there is none, then i have no choice i have to wait till
they land in kubuntu-ppa backports (trusty) - id rather not play with "build
from source" - i have no experience with it .
