            Bug ID: 350026
Summary: Improper handling of the Title Field
           Product: kaddressbook
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: openSUSE RPMs
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: kdepim-bugs at kde.org
          Reporter: thejze at gmx.at
                CC: tokoe at kde.org

I have been using kdepim kontact management for quite a while, both for private
and business contacts. My oldest entries are ten years and more.

In the preview on the right side the selected contact appears like

"Mrs. Fu Bar
Manager"
followed by the rest of the data.

The second line is obviously the data of the field "title" (ger. "Titel").
In some existing contacts, obviously very old ones, the field entry is empty
although something is displayed in the preview. This is annoying when you
duplicate a contact e. g. as a template for a new person in the same company.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Pick an existing contact which appears in the preview like
"Mrs. Fu Bar
Manager
etc."
2. Select "edit contact"
3. Select the tab with profession and title (in German it's "Geschäftlich")

Actual Results:
The content of the field title is empty.

Expected Results:
The field title should contain "Manager".

If I put some text into the field "title" the content of the second line in the
preview is overwritten. If I remove the content afterwards, the initial text is
restored.

A blank does not overwrite the initial text, but a "-" or a "." does.

Version 4.14.9, rpm from opensuse update repository.
Plattform OpenSuSE 13.2

As you see, there is a workaround, but it should be fixed, though.
