I installed the patch v2 via some OpenSuse package. It re-fetched all messages
from the Server (for me this was much). But it is also very slow. I have a
large inbox of about 5500 messages. It takes minutes on a 1.2MB/s line to
synchronize for each synchronization when it should only synchronize the diff.
kdepim-runtime 4.13.3 was so much faster. 
And yes, my imap server is Courier
