Bug ID: 339634
Summary: Error 401 on event creation with CalDAV and Zimbra
Product: Akonadi
Version: 1.13.0
Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: NOR
Component: DAV Resource
Assignee: kdepim-bugs at kde.org
Reporter: benjamin.girault at nebux.org
I have an issue with event creation in Kontact in a Zimbra calendar
synchronized using CalDAV. Basically, there is a 401 error upon insertion of a
new event in the calendar (the message appears twice in the console):
akonadi_davgroupware_resource_23(13929): Error when uploading item: 501 "Il y a
eu un problème avec la requête. L'élément n'a pas été créé sur le serveur.
Une erreur inattendue (401) est survenue en tentant de envoi de
https://<username>@<server>/dav/<username>/Calendar/35a3dcd0-ca90-41f5-bb87-2155e5968136.ics.
(401)."
The message roughly translates to:
"There has been a problem with the request. The element hasn't been created on
the server.
An unexpected error (401) happened when sending <url>. (401)."
What I can do is:
- modification of an event
- creation of a contact (CardDAV)
- creation of a .ics file (extracted from a different calendar and initially
created by Kontact) using WebDAV (in dolphin)
- deletion of the created event removes the error
There seems to be no error reported on the Zimbra side.
I'm not sure when the error happened since it is not reported by Kontact.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a ressource to a Zimbra calendar using CalDAV
2. Create a new event
I'm using kdepim-runtime 4.14.1
Possible similar bug reports:
- Bug 339430, but I have no connection error about any smtp server
- Bug 335090, but the error happens every time
