A simple way to test this additional feature would be to send yourself emails
with images as attachments. Have Kmail redirect those messages to a specific
folder as I have done for my security system. Then open those emails to see if
your changes open the images inline when opening those emails. I'd be happy to
send you some of these emails that my system captures if you wish and that way
you could set up a redirection to a specific folder on my email address.
