--- Comment #1 from pipapo <piral at arcor.de> ---
I confirm this bug.

It's happening with an imap-account on imap.arcor.de.
This behaviour also occurres when setting up the mail-account with a new user
on a new and clean desktop.
Thunderbird and web interface are working fine. Also mail-clients on other
devices and platforms.
It's possible to send mails via the smpt server via the same provider. The
sended mails will be sync with kmail and appears in kmail and also on the
sever.
It seems that the sync works only in one direction.

Dist: Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS
Kmail version: 4.13.97

The only suspicous messages are found in the job tracker window of the akonadi
console.

------------

With guidance I can provide further information. The imap-bugtracking article
on kde thechbase is too advanced. I'm failing on the first sentence. This bug
has essential influence on my daily working process. Using Thunderbird is
current my workaround.
