@Thomas, I doubt it, but "I don't know what I'm doing".  Well done for finding
the folder, I have the same folder and my one and only new note is there.  I
don't know why the developer(s) departed from the previous standard of putting
the notes in a subfolder of .kde

It will be interesting to hear what we are supposed to do now.
