            Bug ID: 327540
           Summary: Missing Contact Method
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: kaddressbook
           Version: 4.11.2
          Platform: unspecified
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: kdepim-bugs at kde.org
          Reporter: andy_90254 at yahoo.com
                CC: tokoe at kde.org

There are currently many names in kaddressbook for different types of contact
methods (Home, Work, Voice, Modem, etc.), the vast majority I have no use for.
What I need is "Conference Line" and "Conference Playback", for use with such
services as freeconferencecall.com (The first is the "dial-in" number for
listening to the audio portion of webinars and/or simple conference calls
hosted by a third party. These conferences might have a few people, or
hundreds of participants. The second is for listening to a recording of the
conference, later.) This is completely different than a work, home or other
number - it is a conference call number unique and special in the same way that
a podcast and webinar are each unique and special to this centurys technology.
Various people I know each have their own conference line. So these people
have a Home number, Work number, Mobile number, email, fax number, conference
number and conference playback number. kaddressbook does not provide a
facility for this type of number and so currently I have to put it into a field
that is unrelated and makes no sense for my context (car, pager or modem for
example). Both of these conferences number also include a unique PIN. So a
typical entry would look like this: Number: 1-123-456-7890 PIN: 123456# A
conference number for myself includes a second "administrative" PIN different
from the first. So I have to keep track of 2 PINs for one number. I could
probably put the PIN into notes, or create an entirely different entry just for
conference numbers, but having it as described above just seems more natural to
me.

I do not quite understand the purpose of the "Other" selection. I had thought
this was a place I could type in my own text so as to create "Conference
Number", etc. Instead it seems to be just another way to select the same
fields that can already be selected.

Reproducible: Always
