Maybe there is a relation ship with

Bug 319226 - produces 1-byte-sized on processing crm114 spam filter rules

It is with POP3 tough, but at least in both cases Akonadi pipes a mail through
an external program.

Would be pretty good to get confirmation and even better to actually find on
why this is happening.

I am still not using those CRM114 spam filter rules due to this bug.
