The problem has been solved for me with a major upgrade of the freemail
service, the folder structure changed and there are no "Noselect" folders any
more. And I did not try with a custom IMAP server.

If you say that it has been fixed since I reported the bug than it is probably
so. Do you know the commit or bug where the patch was commited?
