I have the same problem. Contacts on the Kolab server have pictures. However,
when synced to Akonadi, the pictures are not visible within e.g. Kontact.

Even worse: If you change a contact in Kontact, the contact will be updated (as
expected) to Kolab. However, then the picture is also gone on the Kolab server.
