As it often happens, I found the answer to my question minutes after asking for
help...

I opened Akonadi Console and Akonadi Nepomuk Feeder had a status of "Waiting
for Nepomuk service to start" (I don't remember the exact words). I restarted
the agent and it is now working.

This is bug 294320.
