I'm not sure if this is the same bug, but I still experience this on KDE 4.10.

Quite randomly, from some time point, kaddressbook will refuse to load
anything, restart akonadi doesn't work, and everytime I start kaddressbook it
will only shows a loading icon and looks like it never ends.
