Observed on version 4.10.2 on an Ubuntu derivative.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add "Leave A Note" widget to the desktop.
2. Type any message and press "Leave Note" button.
3. An empty but dated note will appear immediately.
4. After a few seconds, the message you typed will appear too.


Expected Results:  
Useless empty note should not appear.
