I have tried running kontact from shell and saw the next message while the blue
screen of waiting was displayed:

kontact(29786)
MessageViewer::ContactDisplayMessageMemento::slotSearchJobFinished: Unable to
fetch contact: "Unable to fetch item from backend (collection 0) : Unable to
retrieve item from resource: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include:
the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy
blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was
broken."
