1. I do not recall doing anything to collapse the middle column. It came up
with two columns to begin with.

2. I tried to get three columns by selecting "Three columns" in the view menu.
It did not show three columns.

3. However, I followed your suggestion and managed to obtain the middle column
by expanding the inner border between the existing two columns. This seems to
have worked somehow.

4. Thank you for your suggestion and for taking steps to resolve the issue in
version 4.10. I hope the fix works.

5. Incidentally, the current KAddressbook has still to catch up with an earlier
version, namely, 4.3.2, in terms of features and display in areas such as
categories (hierarchy not displayed as clearly as in version 4,3,2,) and the
"Apply" button which is missing in versions after 4.3.2.
