            Bug ID: 313393
Summary: dbus call to openComposer does not handle properly
                    non-latin 1 characters
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: kmail2
           Version: 4.9.5
          Platform: Archlinux Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: CONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: kdepim-bugs at kde.org
          Reporter: mboquien at free.fr

When using the dbus call to openComposer, non-latin 1 characters are
automatically transformed into question marks.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. qdbus org.kde.kmail /KMail org.kde.kmail.kmail.openComposer "" "" "" "" "“”"
False

Actual Results:
Then mail composer opens and the curved quotes in the second to last argument
which corresponds to the body message are transformed into question mark. This
is the case if I use any non latin-1 character.

Expected Results:
Non latin-1 characters are displayed properly.

1. The default encoding of my mails has no effect on this.
2. A test call to knotify properly displays any non-latin 1 character, which is
why I file this bug under kmail.
3. KMail displays properly non-latin 1 characters in other fields, such as the
subject (third to last argument in the dbus call)
