ok, I found that the bug is already reported - but unfortunately closed - with
the same workaround reported above.

I think this is not a solution. I searched for a couple of month no for a
solution - and I'm afraid that many other users do so. It's a lack of
funktionality moving from 3.x to 4.x - and wondering why you can't use kontact
as an groupware anymore ....
