This is one feature which is keeping me from using Kmail. I use Thunderbird and
it's extremely easy there to save your folder/settings wherever you want. I
have saved my mails on an encrypted external hard-drive and I don't have to
worry about hopping/switching between the distros or formatting my system as
all I need is run ./thunderbird -p and then point to the directory where
mails/settings are saved and it takes all accounts/settings/pligins
automatically. With over 30GB mail I really can't afford to not do this. I
think Kmail can make it easier to manage mail/settings/plugins.
