I may have (or had) the same issue.

With KDE 4.10-RC1 i updated to akonadi 1.9.0. After the update i wasnt able to
use sqlite as the db backend. I was able to use mysql. But after upgrading to
4.10 final it also broke. It just stops working after reading some data.
 The last message i get is
The stream parser raised an exception: Unable to read more data

I have tried akonadi with a new user account. Everything was working fine with
RC3
