I can also confirm this bug (Kde 4.11 on Kubuntu 12.10). It takes forever to
retrieve an email item be it an IMAP or local maildir item.
Kmail2 takes about 31% of one cpu core and continues to consume RAM by the
second. This behaviour does not stop even when exiting the program, you have to
kill the process explicitely for it to stop.
I can also confirm the huge error load on the akonadi console, I able to post
fragments of a saved log file if needed.
