I can't seem to find that option. Maybe it's an localization issue, I'm using
the american english version of KDE 4.9.5 (kubuntu 12.10).

The only thing I can find that comes close to this description is the 'Combined
View' option under the 'View' Menubar entry.

I can get rid of ads being displayed in the preview area using the method
provided in comment #1 (e.g. using konquerors adblock feature). Maybe you have
to create a custom filter set.
Of course you have to install konqueror first.
