            Bug ID: 318099
Summary: akonadi does not synchronize all emails
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: Akonadi
           Version: 1.9.1
          Platform: Fedora RPMs
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: critical
          Priority: NOR
         Component: IMAP resource
          Assignee: ervin at kde.org
          Reporter: eric.brunet at lps.ens.fr
                CC: kdepim-bugs at kde.org, vkrause at kde.org

I am using imap with a cache (disconnected imap ?) on my laptop. All the
folders are on the imap server, including Trash, Sent, etc. with a local copy
on the laptop. When I send an email from the laptop, a copy is put on the local
version of the Sent folder and I then expect it to synchronize with the Sent
folder on the Server.

It usually works, but I have had the impression that some mails were
disappearing. Right now, I see one specific mail in the Sent folder which is on
the laptop but not on the server (this mail was written and sent from the
laptop). No amount of synchronizing seem able to push that email to the server.

It is only a one mail bug. Earlier and later emails sent from the same laptop
do synchronize between the two machines.

I have now idea where I could find some log or debugging information about that
mysterious mail.

As this bug could lead to the loss of data (my email is not pushed to the
server, but resides only in the local cache), I classify this as critical even
if I only see this on one mail...

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
I don't know how to reproduce this. I have the bug live under my eyes, but
don't know what to do or what to check.
Actual Results:
A mail is not synchronized

Expected Results:
It should be synchronized

I don't think it is relevant, but, just in case, I actually have two computers
configured the same way (diconnected imap) on the same server; that way I can
send and read mails between these two machines and expect a two way
synchronization.
