Bug ID: 308234
Severity: normal
Version: 2.1.0
Priority: NOR
CC: mutz at kde.org
Assignee: kdepim-bugs at kde.org
Summary: Cleoprata doesnt attempt to search in Ldap servers for
pgp keys, when specifying a base dn, even when the
checkbox for open pgp is checked
Classification: Unclassified
OS: MS Windows
Reporter: frederik.gelder at secardeo.com
Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Component: general
Product: kleopatra
i got a ldap server which holds pgp keys and 509 certs.
to find the pgp keys i have to give the server the base dn o=PGP Keys
pgp desktop for example finds them.
but when i configure the server in kleoprata, nothing is found. i checked with
wireshark and saw, that kleoprata didnt even try to search on my ldap server.
When i let the basedn field empty, kleoprata searches, but doesnt deliver my
searchstring. but with base dn, kleoprata doesnt even search at all
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.configure ldap server with pgp keys, base dn "o=PGP Keys" and check the box
"Open PGP"
2.try to search for anything on the server
3. look with wireshark for traffic
Actual Results:
no ldap traffic shows up in wireshark (when using a base dn in the config)
Expected Results:
should search on my ldap server for pgp keys with the given searchbase and my
searchstring included(filter = "mail=bla at bla.org")
