Bug ID: 308185
Severity: normal
Version: 1.8.0
Priority: NOR
CC: kdepim-bugs at kde.org, vkrause at kde.org
Assignee: ervin at kde.org
Summary: online imap resource does not show "unknown" emails
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux
Reporter: sven.burmeister at gmx.net
Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Component: IMAP resource
Product: Akonadi
If this is a kmail issue please re-assign.
I found via akonadiconsole that when starting kmail it lists a lot of /SEEN
$JUNK emails which do not appear in kmail's message list. Checking the inbox
via the mail server's web interface shows those emails as subject "unknown" but
matching the date shown in akonadiconsole.
Since I only use kmail I'm pretty sure it was kmail/akonadi which caused them
to be there. More important though is that they are not shown in kmail and
hence users that do not have a webgui to check would not be able to remove
them.
KMail Kernel ETM (0x8866888) * 110797 FETCH (UID 110797 REV 0 REMOTEID "392165"
MIMETYPE "message/rfc822" COLLECTIONID 4 SIZE 0 DATETIME "20-Aug-2012 20:03:12
+0000" FLAGS (\SEEN $JUNK) ANCESTORS ((4 "/INBOX") (2
"imap://username+domain.de@server.de/") (0 "")))
Is shown for each of them in akonadi's debug output.
There is no "unknown" group in kmail's message list.
Reproducible: Always
Expected Results:
Kmail should list those emails.
