Ok, the bug is back with version 4.8.1. T_T
The 'workaround' I mentioned earlier isn't working anymore.

I guess this very annoying bug is _very_ simple to fix : priorization.
Just tell kmail2 to fetch the selected mail BEFORE finishing scanning my 20k+
maildir folder for the 5th time in on hour.

Although it's not constructive, I understand why some kmail2 users' comments
are full of anger !
