Bug ID: 295722
Severity: major
Version: 4.8
Priority: NOR
Assignee: kdepim-bugs at kde.org
Summary: messages aren't showing; webmail messages disappear,
too
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux
Reporter: kete at ninthfloor.org
Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Component: general
Product: kmail2
Since I upgraded to KDE 4.8.1, e-mail messages haven't been showing up. Their
subjects will show up, but their messages will be blank. I've had e-mails from
a few different organizations. I've checked the e-mails for two different
accounts on the servers, and their messages are blank, too. I'm using IMAP. I
checked one account through a browser and the other account through SSH. I
think KMail is somehow downloading the e-mail and deleting the messages both
locally and on the remote servers while leaving the subjects and other headers
in tact. It's similar to https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=287097 but I
can't see the messages even on the server. When I check the e-mail on the
server, before downloading with KMail, I can see the messages, and when I
download those messages with KMail, I can still see the messages. Otherwise, I
can't see them, and clicking "Edit this Message" doesn't show anything like in
the bug report above. Also, this is for all e-mail, not just HTML with
JavaScript, etc.
