I've experienced KMail freezes multiple times which have been related to GnuPG
not responding/waiting for a timeout etc.

Such operations should be done in a separate thread or so, as it renders the
whole KMail GUI unusable as nothing can be done at all until the timeout is
reached, which might take up to 5 minutes in some cases (e.g. keyserver cannot
be reached).

Using KDE 4.8.0 an GnuPG 2.0.17.
