kontact (4.8.4) on KDE Platform 4.8.4 (4.8.4) "release 511" using Qt 4.8.2

- What I was doing when the application crashed: deleting a single read email.
The application crashes every time I try to delete an email. On restarting, the
email may be in the wastebasket, but may still be in the inbox folder. I have
been using KDE since 7.2 and have never experienced this problem before.
Current system: OpenSuSE 12.1, KDE 4.8.4 ("release 511").
