kmail (4.8.3) on KDE Platform 4.8.3 (4.8.3) using Qt 4.8.1

- What I was doing when the application crashed:
Having had it crash once, I rebooted and started KMail again.  It crashed
again.

- Custom settings of the application:
Before I did the upgrade, I had KMail set to 'Offline'.
