Yesterday, I upgraded to KDE 4.8.4 on 2 different Opensuse 12.1 systems
(x86_64). 
I used two different RPM repositories - the Factory repository and the KDE 4.8
Release Repository. 

Since the upgrade it is no longer possible 
* to write new mails 
* to answer to received mails 
* to forward mails 
Kmail crashes and disappears from the KDE GUI. 
It did not help to stop Nepomuk. 

This makes KMail completely useless. Therefore, I regard this as critical. 

There were Opensuse forum contributions saying that the KDE 4.8 Release
repository is broken. Maybe that is true. However, it appears not very likely
that 2 different SUSE repositories are broken. Therefore, I think it is a KDE
4.8.4 inherent bug.
